But why are the young recruits being sent on increasingly deadly quests, ill-equipped and with no guidance from their captains? And where are all of the previous trainees?
As his questions mount up, Troy begins to realize that his only way out is to play the game... and win.
2. Chaos - Troy and his friends face a battle for survival, with the fate of their city at stake.
Troy, Clio, Plato along with several other hoplite recruits in Sparta Online have fled to the mountains to escape their brutal and corrupt captains. But they are not ready to give up the fight. Armed with new information and a determination for justice, they set out for Sparta once again.
But as they proceed, things become more chaotic by the hour. Not only are the cruel captains joining with some unexpected foes, they are conspiring to massacre defenseless citizens and betray the city.
Things get worse still as it becomes clear that not one but two rival powers – Athens and Thebes – have spied an opportunity to gain control over Sparta. The corrupt and powerful figures that had been threatening Troy and his fellow hoplites may now put the entire future of the city at risk.
As a deadly battle begins in the streets of Sparta, it is up to Troy to galvanize his allies – including a fresh group of recruits – to turn the tide, and fight back against the multitude of threats that seek to overwhelm their home.
