Living in the shadow of his father's legacy, Khaldun longs to prove himself; when the opportunity arises, will he be equal to the task?
Mira grew up with the wayfarers, but her mother sent her to a faraway holding to live with her father many years ago. But she despised the constraints of the highborn life, and yearned for the freedom of the wayfarers. Older now, she's chosen to return to the troupe, immediately rekindling her relationship with Khaldun. Although Mira's also a mage, her powers have taken a strange turn--making her a target for the high prince.
But the very night that Mira returns, their world is turned upside down. When soldiers pursue a rogue messenger through their camp, Khaldun and Mira find themselves drawn into a conflict that could forever alter the future of the continent. Henry is now poised to plunge Anoria into darkness and despair; can Khaldun and Mira stop him before it's too late?
2. Witch - An ancient darkness is rising again…
A millennium ago, the world’s most powerful necromancer slaughtered the Five Kings, enslaved the masses, and plunged all the land into darkness and despair. After three hundred years, the princedoms rose up against her and cast her out. Over the centuries, the memory of these events faded, until they were finally forgotten.
But now the darkness stirs again…
A rogue demon is terrorizing Jezebel's cousin, Princess Allison of Spanbrook. Jezebel sets out to find the one mage in all the land with the power to banish the specter. She doesn’t know the way, but the wayfarer boy, Khaldun, agrees to serve as her guide. On their journey, they discover long-forgotten secrets, revealing that Allison’s demon is but a lesser servant of a vastly greater evil. Now, the fate of an entire continent hangs in the balance. Can Jezebel and Khaldun overcome the forces arrayed against them before it’s too late?
3. Sorcerer - Upon assuming his new role as Spanbrook's chief mage, Khaldun discovers an ancient artifact that Nyro, the great necromancer herself, left behind. The object is still linked to her, and through it, she communicates with Khaldun, enticing him to liberate her. Syllith soon learns that Nyro is behind Fosland's renewed military aggression, and that there's a traitor at the university. Before long, all of northern Maeda is dragged into war, but is it only a diversion, providing the ancient evil an opportunity to escape?
4. Sorceress - Fifteen years have passed since Nyro's liberation, and neither the great necromancer nor Syllith, the mage she possessed, has been seen anywhere in Anoria. But when elves are spotted in several princedoms, Mira begins to worry it could be a prelude to an invasion. When armies land in Rockport and Blacksand, Princess Jezebel sends Khaldun and Mira to assist in the princedoms' defense, but before long, the conflict overruns the entire continent. Will Mira's newfound abilities be enough to turn the tide?
