1. Mars Calling - The debate has raged on for centuries without ever finding any firm resolution - are we alone out here in space or are we co-existing with intelligent life forms who are living on planets within our reach?
Scientists are puzzled by unidentified radio signals that appear to be emanating from Mars. While the general consensus is that the signals will undoubtedly turn out to be some kind of technical glitch, there has been enough interest in the event for authorities to quickly organize the launch of an exploratory, fact-finding mission to the Red Planet.
Astronaut Ben Drummond and his team have left Earth onboard the Quirinius spacecraft but unfortunately, tensions onboard the spacecraft are on the rise even before the Quirinius enters the Martian atmosphere. It's not long before Ben realizes that he has taken on far more than he ever signed up for, and now his gut is warning him that bigger troubles lie ahead.
Mars is calling - but is the message one that humankind is ready to hear?
2. Mars Fallen - Ben and the team continue to uncover horrifying facts about the real reason for their invitation to Mars. The Red Planet itself appears to be an illusion, clever disguises are falling as swiftly as autumn leaves on the breeze, and a myriad of mental and physically battles are soon underway.
Ben is forced to acknowledge and face the choices that he's made in the past - not all of them exercises in sound judgement. Meanwhile, Hudson continues to refute all attempts to bring him into line and Ben learns that every choice has a consequence, including the choices he thought he'd put behind him..
Mars is soon to fall into enemy hands and by all accounts, Earth will soon follow unless a sense of unity can be dredged up from the wreckage.
3. Mars Arisen - Ben and his team have been made prisoners on Mars as the mission continues to disintegrate. Trapped on a planet that bears no correlation to what he knew of this neighboring world in a once familiar solar system, Ben must also face the grim realization that there are few around him who he can still trust.
Brutalized, beaten, and with their spirits lagging, the questions continue to pile up as the team lurches from one disaster to the next while at the same time, the knowledge that Earth is in grave danger drives them on.
Will Ben led his team to victory and will Mars arise again, or is the end for the Red Planet and GUSP's most disposable employees?
