Overview: John Keith Laumer (1925 - 1993) was an extremely successful man, an author who kept fit, always. It was therefore more difficult for him when he suffered a massive stroke in 1971 that paralyzed one side of his body and part of his brain and therefore his mind. Like a character in one of his stories, his crippled body would not comply, would not work correctly.
Rosel George Brown (1926 - 1967) Born New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition to writing, she worked as a teacher and a welfare visitor in Louisiana. In 1959, she was nominated for the Hugo Award for best new author, but her career was cut short when she died of lymphoma at the age of 41 in 1967.
