Blinded by his own sympathy and desire for Tara, Gabriel is soon embroiled in the world of her dark fantasy, and McRay must find the sadistic killer before he loses his career, his sanity and his life.

Troubled Los Angeles homicide detective Gabriel McRay confronts his nemesis Victor Archwood at the killer's trial. A surprise twist in the proceedings sets the stage for Archwood to claim his ultimate revenge on the detective.
