Overview: Dave Walsh was once the world's foremost kickboxing journalist, if that makes any sense. He's still trying to figure that one out.
The thing is, he always loved writing and fiction was always his first love. He wrote 'Godslayer' in hopes of leaving the world of combat sports behind, which, as you can guess, did not exactly work. That's when a lifelong love of science fiction led him down a different path.
Now he writes science fiction novels about far-off worlds, weird technology and the same damned problems that humanity has always had, just with a different setting.
He does all of this while living in the high desert of Albuquerque and raising twin boys with his wife. He's still not sure which is harder: watching friends get knocked out or raising boys.

Severed Galaxy (#4)
The bullet from a lone assassin unleashes a symphony of destruction in the galaxy.
Locked up in endless meetings, Valencia finds herself at the whim of the Terran government while they plot the best use for the amazing powers she can command... Or at least the powers she could command. With each passing day, her connection with the Sentinel slips from her grasp, leaving her desolate and depressed.
Across the galaxy, Drake grapples with the immensity of his own transformation. Shielded by Valencia from Terran officials, he’s raising the heir to the Gra’al throne in his own isolation while danger simmers inside of him that promises to tear him apart unless he can learn to control it.
Progress stops for no one, though, as a fringe extremist group invites chaos back into the galaxy, stoking the flames within Terran space to arise and destroy the carefully won peace with the Gra’al.
The crew of the Trystero ride again, the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance.
Smashed Hopes (#5)
Humanity has never been known for subtlety... now is no different.
After years of peace, things are unraveling. Drake may be the most powerful human that’s ever lived, imbued with powers beyond his wildest imagination, but still he struggles with his place in the galaxy.
For Valencia, the galaxy has done nothing but take from and hurt her, leaving her exhausted and alone.
There’s no rest for them in sight, though, as the godlike alien race they discovered on Thuul looms on the horizon, ready to pound down the door to the celestial gate only Drake can access and destroy humanity. All they have to do is convince Terrans to stop weaponizing alien technology…
Which is easier said than done.
If none of the Terran leaders will listen to them, and only continue down a path of destruction, can the crew of the Trystero keep hope alive by preventing the coming calamity? Or will their hopes for the future be smashed?
