Culinomancer
A thousand years after the death of King Merlin and Queen Morgana, the Kingdom of Avalon has grown and prospered throughout Europe. A magical kingdom ruled by wizards and thriving with magical marvels other nations can only dream of.
At the centre of the kingdom, the University of New Camelot stands. Taking in one hundred of the best and brightest each year following a gruelling exam that only the most talented have any hope of passing, or even surviving. Thousands of applicants each year try their luck, utilising what powers they have from the eight main styles of magic to compete with their peers and become a combat wizard.
For Merle of Valencia, this is a problem. He cannot use any of the eight main schools of magic. He has the ninth style, food magic. The mocked style, the joke style, good only for serving other proper wizards their lunch. No Culinomancer has passed the combat exam in centuries, but Merle intends to break that pattern. He may be considered a joke, but he fully intends to prove that a food wizard can be just as dangerous as any other.
Culinomancer 2
A thousand years have passed since the death of King Merlin and Queen Morgana, but the kingdom they built stands strong. A kingdom ruled by wizards and thriving with magical marvels other nations can only dream of.
Taking his one chance to prove himself worthy of their legacy, Merle of Valencia battled and cooked his way past four thousand other mages. The first combat Culinomancer in centuries to be admitted into the University of New Camelot. The most prestigious magic school in the Kingdom.
Passing the gruelling series of trials, he proved all his critics wrong. Proved that Culinomancers have every right to learn with their fellow mages and fight for the realm.
The hard part was supposed to be over. Now it was supposed to be a life of developing powerful magic, dynamic duels, and maybe spending a little time getting to know the ladies of New Camelot.
But trouble keeps seeming to find Merle even as he tries to avoid it. He may just have to accept that his journey to prove his worth is only just beginning.
