Will Vidarr capture the wanted man before his rash tongue and brash actions cost him dearly? The stakes are high, for not only is Vidarr's life at risk, but his kin's lives hand in the balance, too.
2. In Search of Kin - Trouble is afoot in Vidarr Allefar's home village, though he only knows of his kin's coming annihilation through divine visions.
Recently freed from prison, Vidarr gathers his allies and treks across the dangerous wilds to reach his kin. Will his nascent powers and the aid of Belkin, Ingefær, and Rikk, a skald dvaerg, be enough to overcome the beasts and brigands that cross their path? Will he and his friends prevent his kin's slaughter, not only from without, but also from within?
There's much danger in Asken de Gulles. Some warn of batting eyelashes over round brown eyes. What exactly do the Fates have in store for young VIdarr?
