Power is everything!
On the ladder of life, those who are at the highest rungs are only the ones who have enough power to carry them thus far. The elite who are abundant with power and money are able to go to places that were otherwise unheard of.
In other words, the weak had no place in this world. Jacob, having known what it was like to be the lowest of the low, knew and understood this full well. And so, he strived to change his way of life. He reinvented himself.
After continuous hurdles as well as the threat of imminent death, Jacob managed to emerge victorious against all odds. He had his past locked in a steel vault and buried six feet under— And now he was back on the playing field, ready to drag the whole world by the neck.

Costs come with every action. Risk is a friend of the daring. The stakes have never been higher.
Old enemies are becoming more than just vague threats looming in the distance. The Holy Queen has turned from dangerously volatile to calmly strategic. Rogue demigods proved to be dangerous when left unchecked.
Unfolding a new life chapter, Jacob learns more about the world as well as himself in his quest to find the answers he needed for the sake of his own — and the rest of the world's, it seems — well-being.
And all the while, as his list of enemies gets longer, along with his scope of the world, his circle of allies, too, gets bigger as he learns that there are some burdens he wasn't meant to carry alone.
