Saga of EvarWar (#1-2) by A. M. Post

Overview: I'm a long term reader of fantasy, science fiction, and plenty of other genres, and have particular interests in the LitRPG genre.
When LitRPG as a genre really started growing, in the 2010s, I devoured every single one of the books I could find. And while there were good ones, there were also not so good ones, and I learned from each of those, finding what worked for me, and what didn’t work.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy
The Grey Druidess (#1)
Andy was looking forward to a fun night as one of the first players in Saga of EvarWar, the new, Full Immersion Virtual Reality (FIVR) Massively Multi-Player Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG).
What he didn't know was that Saga of EvarWar was linked to a real world, somewhere out there in the multiverse, a real world with swords, magic, deities, powers, fighting, killing, and surviving. But a world that also had game-like statistics for the participants, almost like an actual MMORPG.
Oh, and the deities of this world had a say in how things were, as well.
Andy is due for some changes, once he gets into the world, some changes that might surprise him!
But it's all in service of saving this new world from the evils of Earth, and Andy is the chosen hero!
Features a druid main character, lots of snark, actual consequences for death, a main character that is fighting for their life against both monsters, the environment, other characters, and the deities themselves!
Oh, and some good friends and companions!
Shadow of Corruption (#2)
Andy (Andrea?) was back in the real world, but he kept having dreams of of everything that happened to him in the world of Kanth.
And there was that pesky howl of a dog (wolf?) that he kept hearing, but he never could find where it was coming from.
Join Andy as he returns to continue the battle against decay and corruption in the world oif Kanth!
Features a druid main character, lots of snark, actual consequences for death, a main character that is fighting for their life against both monsters, the environment, other characters, and the deities themselves!
Oh, and some good friends and companions!
