Jack Magic is a stage magician, secretly living on borrowed time, innocently performing his show at a festival in Richmond. Caught in the middle of a terrorist attack by a rogue Power Being, he is seriously injured and hospitalized. All hope seems lost when Jack is miraculously cured by a mysterious woman for some unknown purpose. Now the world thinks that Jack is a Power Being as well, and he becomes a media sensation, drawing the attention of the government as well as the madman who almost killed him. Jack and his manager decide to take advantage of the misunderstanding for fame and fortune. Unfortunately Jack's situation also puts him in the sights of a group of very special people known as The Outcast, and they just might not be just Power Beings, they might be something older, more powerful and far more deadly.
