Overview: Martin McKenzie grew up on the mean, unforgiving slopes of the Scottish Highlands, where, after too many glasses of Bunnahabhain, he thought it might be fun to write a book about a Minotaur.

#1 - Graeme only wanted a pint.
He'd even have taken one of those fruity craft beers in a pinch, but it seemed Fate had other plans. Which is strange, because as it turns out, Graeme is possibly the only being in the universe unaffected by the otherwise divine and tangible force of destiny. Immune to its machinations, he is Fateless.
So, when he inadvertently disrupts his best friends summoning into another world, the Gods offer him a choice. Fix the mistake, or sentence said friend and world he's destined to save to a particularly nasty end.
Reborn into a new world in the body of Minotaur, Graeme will have to survive frozen wastes, vicious slavers, and perilous dungeons. All whilst adapting to strange game-like powers, delivered and explained to him by an overly enthusiastic voice in his head.
It's not all bad news though. Sure he might be the only Scotsman he knows with horns, but this lack of Fate seems to come with some benefits. The ability to wreak havoc with the pre-ordained plans of the Gods might just give him the edge he needs.
Guess the pint will have to wait.
#2 - Reaching civilization was not all that Graeme imagined it would be.
It was worse.
With his tribe freshly formed, and freshly Fateless, all he wants to do is prepare, research, and have a quiet drink or three before saving Angus, and in doing so, the world.
Ironically, Fate has other plans.
Ensnared by a corrupt magistrate and forced to fight for the entertainment of those who view themselves as civilized, the White Roses will have to either survive or succumb to the bloody gauntlet of the famous Frosthome Arena.
However, Graeme’s Awakening to Dreamer andhis newfound mastery of Slumber may be just the key they need to triumph over the trials thrust upon them. Fortunately, such violence breeds opportunity. Allies, knowledge, magical items, and the promise of a cold pint can all be found here, should the tribe succeed.
Yet beyond this, shadows stir. A growing, necrotic sea that threatens to engulf the tribe and put an end to their plans almost as soon as they have formed.
Whether they know it or not.
