In order to reach the academy, he’ll have to cross a rugged mountain range in winter, find passage across a treacherous sea, and cover over 2,000 leagues on foot. Even with a horse, a mule, and a hound as his traveling companions, surviving this harsh adventure will be no easy task.
Along the way he’ll have to use his gift often to heal, to repel bandits and thieves, and even to dig wells. In addition, he’ll have to continuously deal with the bounty on his head while doing what he can to save the kingdom of Iber from financial collapse. All the while, he’ll be racing against the clock to make it in time before the academy’s registration closes–and they make no exceptions for late arrivals.
4. Athenia: The culmination of a Master Mage’s training…
Katrina, the princess of Iber that Marcus loves, attends Holtsclaw, and in no time at all is drawn into the bonded relationship of Marcus and his friends, thus creating the most powerful four-way bonding in recorded history. Marcus and his friends’ days at the academy come and go, and they continue to train and grow stronger.
After graduation, they begin the arduous task of rebuilding the lost kingdom of Athenia, including reconstructing its once-prominent castle. But their greatest challenge yet comes when they are interrupted by an invasion of terrifying might from a hostile kingdom with a generations-long grudge.
Will the mainland kingdoms be able to repel the invasion?
