1. Rite of Passage - When Jack Dahlish needs help, he knows who to call.
The Watchers have existed for thousands of years, lurking in the shadows and ready to step in when the Nine are too occupied to help. Powerful Relics infused with shreds of Chaos energy are out there, and it's their job to contain any damage they might cause.
Alison Pearson is tasked with meeting the member of the Nine who reached out to the Watchers asking for assistance. She travels to San Antonio with one of her team members, where they learn about a string of attacks and Relic thefts that might be related.
The hunt for the people responsible will take Alison and Benny through Louisiana and Mississippi, then into Georgia. When they reach Atlanta, they discover a web of conspiracy operating to unleash destruction on an unimaginable scale. Alison races to stop a deadly ritual, with millions of lives hanging in the balance.
2. Old Wounds - Alison Pearson and her team of Watchers are called to Chicago to investigate a spate of verbal attacks that have just turned physical. The job sounds like a chore better handled by local law enforcement, but the Shadow Council seems convinced there is a connection to Chaos-infused Relics. Alison has her own suspicions about what's behind the attacks, and it doesn't take long for her worst fears to become truth.
Chicago is Benny Herrera's hometown, though he hasn't been back since his wife was brutally attacked and killed by a pair of Nox while he was forced to watch. That tragic event was his introduction into the deeper mysteries of our world, and the pain of his loss has never gone away. For too long, grief and anger kept him away from a family that he thought would blame him for not preventing what happened. Is it too late to repair his relationships?
Alison is still dealing with her own loss, that of her husband to cancer many years ago. Work is the only thing that keeps her mind from dwelling on the gaping hole in her life where Kevin used to be. Helping Benny through the pain of his past might be the best route to healing her own sorrow.
Haunted pasts collide in the present, leading to the discovery of a plan that threatens thousands of lives. The Watchers race to stop a seemingly overwhelming foe before an entire city can be shattered.
3. Reign of Fire - The most powerful Relic of all is at risk.
More than a thousand years ago, a rift opened between dimensions and allowed an army of demons to invade our world. That army was barely defeated, the demon king's power stripped from him when the Relic crown he wore was broken into shards.
Alison Pearson and her team of Watchers are deep into an undercover operation when they're pulled away without explanation and hustled onto a jet. Landing on another continent, they find themselves at the center of a Relic theft that threatens the very future of humanity.
Their quest to prevent the shards of the Demon Crown from falling into the wrong hands will take them into the depths of the Shadow Archives, a place few have heard of and even fewer have seen.
