Overview: Tao Wong is a Canadian self-published author based in the Yukon. Yes, that Yukon. As a reader, he's an avid fan of science fiction and fantasy, having cut my teeth decades ago on Dragonlance, Terry Brooks and Asimov before graduating to Jordan, Gaiman, Bujold and more. When he's not writing and working, he's practicing martial arts, reading (even more!) and taking care of his family. Other hobbies include occasional RPGs and board games as well as picking up new, random skillsets. 1. A Gamer's Wish
Given everything he could wish for - magic and a status screen - Henry will have to survive the hidden supernatural organizations after his ring of wishes. Henry Tsien never expected the briefcase he purchased to change his life forever. The avid gamer is given an opportunity to make his dreams comes true by a trapped jinn, and it only required a single wish. Gifted the ability to cast magic and the innate knowledge real Magicians have to study to earn, Henry must make do with his new chance at life. Starting out as a Level 1 Mage with a status screen only he can see, Henry must learn the hidden secrets and histories of the supernatural world. All the while, he'll have to deal with aggressive supernatural groups who want the jinn's ring, learn how to fight back against monsters, level up his magic and pay his rent.
2. A Squire's Wish
As Duty and Dreams clash, Wishes Come True When Henry Tsien wished for magic from a jinn, he was thrown into a hidden supernatural world where danger lurked on every corner. An unlikely ally arises in Alexa Dumough, the Knight Templar Initiate who coaches Henry on the hidden rules of this world. Now, Alexa is forced to choose between loyalty to her Order and friendship with Henry. Her test to become a Squire leads both of them into a trial by fire, pitting lives and magic to the test. Forced to choose, the Knight Initiate must decide – what her wishes truly are.
