Shortly after that announcement takes the city by storm, challengers spring out of the woodwork during the battle of the Three Rankings. There’s a million of them, and instead of focusing on the rich prizes for the top ranked, many of them seem hellbent on claiming the new young lord’s head.
Embroiled and embattled, trouble may brew in paradise still even if Jiang Chen successfully defends his title. A mysterious figure lurks on the sidelines, somehow identified to be an old flame of his. How is that possible, and will it strain the bonds of newly pledged love?
They also say that it never rains, but pours. Matters of the heart continue to plague him when word of his long-lost family reaches Jiang Chen’s ears. How should he treat this news and where does he go from here? Some ties are unbreakable, while others only look the part.
Enemies, like lovers, are destined to meet.

No more keeping his head down, no more biding his time. Raise high the flags of war and sound the drums of battle! Evil stirs in the world and before Jiang Chen can root it out, he must first clean house and rid Veluriyam Capital of any remaining dissent and lingering troublemakers.
All seems to proceed smoothly until an attempted coup tries to wrench things around. After all, Jiang Chen’s enemies hadn’t been sitting on their hands when he was busy consolidating his forces. They unleash conflict onto him first, claiming the advantage with first blood.
Allies, spies, and traitors flood to the frontlines of this internal conflict. On Jiang Chen’s side, he can count on the Sacred Peafowl Mountain, his beloved, and even help from unexpected places thanks to his family. Hopefully, that will prove enough to secure his victory at minimal cost.

Alas, this might have been the one time to bow their heads and swallow their pride, for the future of the human domain is decided when the gavel is banged on the last auction. Those who refused to be won over peacefully will now have to face Jiang Chen’s flames of wrath and fury.
No quarter is given, sects are toppled, and it’s the last stand before names such as Pillfire City go down in history. It’s time to address all the grievances and wrongs he’s suffered in this life, once and for all.

They’ve had time to prepare, to observe, to run sabotage, and the time is finally ripe for them to claim their ultimate victory.
For all of Jiang Chen’s knowledge, experiences, and strength, it’s too much to expect him to withstand the threat on his own. But who or where can he look to for help? He oversees the world, who can possibly offer something that he doesn’t already have?
The answer may lie in the past and outside the realm, in strange creatures he’s never encountered before and names lost to history. While he struggles to reconcile this, a vigilante purportedly on the side of good starts appearing through the land. They come and go like the wind, striking at the enemy and leaving plans in disarray. This would be fantastic, if not for one thing.
