Two SciFi Novels by Ben Jeapes
Requirements: ePub Reader, Mobi Reader, 2 MB
Overview: Ben was born, he is assured by people who were there, in Belfast in February 1965. Ben’s ambition is to live to be 101 and 7 months, so as to reach the 1000th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings and the arrival of the man responsible for Ben’s unusual surname – a Danish mercenary called Jep, whose name features in the Domesday Book and who fought for William the Conqueror – in the British Isles. That’s what family legend says, anyway, and it’s much too good a story to bother checking. Other descendants of Jep will have to remind him what he’s staying alive for.
He is English and as quietly proud of the fact as you would expect of the descendant of a Danish mercenary who fought for a bunch of Norsemen living in northern France. (From the Author's Website)
Genre: Science Fiction/Speculative Fiction

His Majesty's Starship: Captaining HMSS Ark Royal as part of Earth's first interstellar delegation should be an honour. Try telling that to Michael Gilmore. His passengers are an ill-tempered prince and an inscrutable quadruped alien. His First Officer is ready to mutiny if Ark Royal engages its weaponry. The ship's A.I. seems to have turned renegade. And the neighbouring vessel harbours a genocidal maniac. Oh, and it's altogether possible that they're heading into some kind of trap ...
The Xenocide Mission: Space opera is back. Lieutenant Joel Gilmore is part of a space observation team who find themselves attacked by the very aliens they are watching. It becomes a race against time for their fellow soldiers to rescue them, but in doing so, they unlock shocking secrets of the solar system.
