Silas Hall Mystery series by Phillip Manning (Books #1-2)

Overview: I am an aspiring writer. Also I am a 2010 graduate of Winston-Salem State University. I love to write and spend my free time acting out scenes to my stories (yes, weird I know.) I do this because it helps me see what seems logical and was is far-fetched. I am a Christian and it shows in my writing. I am not an anti-anything Christian; I like to think that I am open minded. Comic books, sci fi, and fantasy are awesome to me. I also love comedies and lately I've been laughing at Happy Endings, New Girl, Community, Arrested Development reruns, as well as 70's sitcoms. I love LOTR movies, tried reading the book. It was awesome, but a daunting task, took a break and am now reading the Elvis Cole series, The Alex Cross series, Ender's series, and The Percy Jackson series.

Mind Game
Six years ago Silas Hall and his parents were shot down in their home. Soon after Silas learned why he survived and his parents did not. He learned that they had lied to him his entire life about their line of work.
Once Silas was healed and learns the complete truth of his parents, he agreed to join API and has worked for them for the past six years. API is short for the Agency for the Protection of the Innocent. Their job is to thwart terrorism around the world as well as stop the technology that gave Silas his abilities from falling into the wrong hands.
On a normal day in late September, four individuals in four different states go on killing sprees for several minutes before soon losing memory of anything they had done. Silas is given the task of solving this case and of learning why these actions happened.
Upon deeper investigation Silas learns that the Brotherhood of Unity, the group responsible for his parent’s murder, may have developed video games with subliminal messages in them. Also he discovers that the messages may have been a cover up for something more sinister that involves the theft and usage of an abandoned United States biological weapons program.
Together with his best friend, Jason Miller, Silas has to stop the Brotherhood of Unity before they kill half a million people. Silas also gets closer to learning things about his father’s past of which even API had no knowledge. This leads him to question the motives of the Brotherhood as well as API itself.

It has been five years since the events of Mind Game, and the hard to kill Silas Hall and his psychotic partner Jason Miller return for another adventure.
Nathaniel Hall, SIlas' father, is back and has set in motion a plan that could possibly eradicate all sickness and disease in the world, while simultaneously bringing the world to the brink of a third world war.
On the opposing side the Blood Covenant has created the peacemakers, a robot that can heal itself. Their main obstacle? Nathaniel Hall.
Silas and Jason and their team are caught in the middle of a deadly war that has the potential to spill into the streets.
Silas must figure out the connection between his mother's old co worker, two rival street gangs and a sketchy strip club. The fate of the world depends on it.
