Overview: Patrick Dakin was born and raised on the west coast of British Columbia and following a three year stint in the Canadian Navy he spent many years employed as a financial analyst with a branch of the federal government. Early retirement provided the long sought opportunity to devote his time to authoring thrillers, suspense, and mystery novels. He and his wife live in the Okanagan Valley in B.C.'s interior where he is at work on his eighth book.

His aim: to convince Callie to take him back, to re-establish the life they once shared. But when Jack arrives in town he learns Callie is missing. Then, to his dismay, evidence unfolds indicating Callie has killed a cop on the Colville force. To make matters even worse, a probable witness is also missing, setting Jack on a frantic search for his wife and the truth behind what really happened and why.
