After her life falls apart following a disastrous incident, Sage moves in with her sister Primrose in the small coastal town of Rosecliff. Primrose, a perfect housewife and an avid gardener, has been hired to decorate the first wedding that the town has seen in three years.
While helping her sister set up for the wedding, Sage overhears a suspicious conversation. A sudden death that puts an end to the wedding ceremony before it has even begun suddenly doesn’t seem so natural. Sage, with the help of Primrose, starts to uncover a series of mysterious clues that seem to be leading straight to the culprit.

After the grand opening of her new flower shop, Primrose is invited to attend an evening of playing cards at the Blackwater Manor and she takes her sister Sage along with her. The two sisters wind up in the middle of another crime scene when a body is discovered in the study. This time the stakes are higher, however, since they are now among the suspects in the murder case.
With a roomful of suspicious guests and no plausible explanation about when and how the murder could have happened, Sage cannot help but start her own private investigation. Soon sordid details from the suspects’ past begin to emerge, together with a string of puzzling clues that help shed some light on the mysterious case.
