Gail Harland is a woman that believed that marriage was forever, but that all changed when she gave her husband an ultimatum. They weren’t really in love with each other and this led to her finding something different with a young man named Anthony. She wanted something physical, but he had this strong belief that was more old fashion than anything else. Gail suffered from a rare insomnia condition that allowed others to prey on it like it was a weakness. The new neighbor is going to test her sanity and give her reason to doubt herself. Only her best friend will help her to figure out the truth before it’s too late. Is Gail to believe that Anthony is everything that he appears, or does there lurk something hidden within the silky words that come from his mouth?
Night Moves (#1)
Gail Harland has always suffered from insomnia and each year it gets worse. There are times that she finds herself becoming something of a night owl. She’s not much for clubs, but she does enjoy using her high powered telescope to sneak peeks into the lives of others. Her main focus is a young man named Anthony, a very impressionable young man that has a strong belief in no sex before marriage. She purposely teases him mercilessly to get his attention in more ways than one. She likes throwing caution to the wind, but it’s the new neighbor that becomes a growing concern. What will happen when she sees that her new neighbor is more than he appears?
Perceptions (#2)
Gail Harland had found herself dealing with life in general and the fact that her husband was now going to be her ex husband. The stress of a recent breakup and the strain of separation from her husband had made her see that a young man named Anthony could be exactly what she was looking for. She meets the new neighbor, unaware of what his name is. There is a tattoo on his shoulder that caused her some concern. There was no telling what was causing her feel this way, until that fateful night that she saw something that she probably shouldn’t have. She’s going to dig deeper. Is she ready for what she will find? Is she right about a killer hiding in plain site, or is this a product of her overactive imagination?
Digging Deep (#3)
Gail Harland was soon to be divorced. She decided that her life was more important than living a mundane existence. She wanted that butterfly feeling and she had found something of the sort with a younger man across the street. Anthony was the kind of man that would have all the girls that were available clamoring to be on his dance card. His interest in her came with the caveat of no sex. He had no interest in going any further than dating, until the ink was dry on her divorce papers. Her new neighbor, an author named James Michaels had caught her attention. She thinks that she has been unfair, but then realizes that she needs to have her head on a swivel. Her perception of the man was going to turn into something of a crusade to find out exactly what he was hiding.
Normal Behavior (#4)
Gail Harland didn’t really want to believe that her life with her husband was over, but the writing was on the wall. She decided that it was time to move on and making a clean break meant that her marriage was over. She has her eyes set on Anthony and he has shown interest by inviting her over for dinner. Unfortunately, her attention is also drawn to James Michaels an author that she finds exhilarating on any page that she reads, but a little mysterious when it comes to dealing with him one on one. She saw something that turned out not to be what it was, but then somebody took a shot at her through her office window. She convinces herself that it’s not a coincidence and then she wakes up after a nice time with Anthony to find that she was living in her own personal nightmare.
Straight Up (#5)
Gail Harland found that her life was turned upside down by living alone for the first time in her life. She doesn’t like that feeling, but the young man across the street has filled that void with his companionship and friendship. They both want something more, but they can’t have that until the divorce is done and finished with. The arrival of the new neighbor was quite unexpected, but after that things began to escalate with one thing after another. The body upstairs was waiting to be discovered and the police were knocking on her door. She was terrified beyond words, but she had her friend Amber there to settle her down. They were going to have to play a game with a would be killer that was having too much fun at their expense.
The connection (#6)
Gail Harland wanted to believe that there was life after her soon to be divorce. She found herself enamored with the young man across the street and had endeavored to get to know him better. She suffered from insomnia. It was a very rare case that had her becoming a night owl and only sleeping when it was absolutely necessary. She could live a relatively normal life with 4 to 5 hours of sleep, but what she didn’t realize was that her condition could lead to misconceptions. Only her best friend Amber gave her the benefit of the doubt. The next door neighbor was this mysterious writer that had this Jekyll and Hyde kind of personality. She had just found the body of a woman in her bed, but that was not even close to the end of it.
