A dangerous criminal has moved to Mackenzie August’s hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Known only as the General, the mysterious villain has galvanized the local gangs and capitalized on the city’s pivotal location within the larger drug trafficking network. Violence escalates and is soon splashed across the news channels.
Mackenzie August prefers his city without powerful mobsters, and he agrees to assist the sheriff in her investigation. His expertise in both law enforcement and education make him the perfect weapon for mining information from the local high school, information which should lead to the identity of the General and a deadly showdown.
#3 - The Second Secret
Local attorney and femme fatale Ronnie Summers knocks on Mackenzie's door with a case he can't resist, even though he probably should. Her secrets cast him into the deep end, both professionally and romantically, and soon he finds himself mingling with the mafioso.
