With less than four days to find the young man—and, with a pair of drug-addicted study partners, a violent motorcycle gang, a stalker ex-girlfriend, and a host of other obstacles standing in his way—Colt faces the most challenging and deadly case of his life.

Colt travels to Tennessee and soon thinks he has the answer: typical copycat case. But when he walks into a bloodbath back home, Colt realizes nothing is typical and nothing is solved. And now it’s personal. While relentlessly hunting down those responsible, Colt finds the truth — but before he can alert the authorities, he is abducted, drugged, and brainwashed. Now, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Colt must fight to remember who he is.

Since then, he’s had some luck making money under the table as a “security consultant.” But good luck has a habit of going bad for Colt. Like when he takes the case of an affluent young accountant who has received a threatening letter—a mandate to come and play an ultraviolent video game called Snuff Tag 9.
Colt figures the letter is a scam, but a psychotic four-hundred- pound billionaire known only as Freeze quickly proves him wrong. Freeze, it seems, is populating his version of the game with real people.
Kidnapped and outfitted with a device that will stop his heart if he refuses to join in, Colt finds himself deep in the Okefenokee Swamp hunting—and being hunted by—eight people he has never met, has nothing against…and must kill to survive.

And, with a serial killer known as The Zombie — a brutal psychopath who saws off the tops of his victims’ heads, scoops out their brains, and reassembles their skulls with Krazy Glue — on the loose, it’s no wonder some of the locals have redubbed the island Key Death.
