Gotlieb had spent years trying to perfect the computer programming behind this technology. Now in his mid-fifties, he had pulled his hair out working with the other technical leads on his team, trying to figure out how to make the device as small, yet user friendly as possible. Baby-boomers needed to have a device that was big enough and clear enough that they could get it to work without giving up in frustration, or having to spend hours reading a boring manual.
There was an important deadline that Gotlieb was hoping to achieve this coming week, and he had to get it done fast. His competition, Bennett Solar, had moved stealthily and was ready to launch a product that in many respects was more superior than the product being developed by Santec Microsystems.
