Overview: I grew up in Stoke-on-Trent and spent many years doing less than ideal jobs in and around the Potteries five towns, before finally taking the plunge and quitting work to follow my creative side. As the body count rises, Blake and his team struggle to unravel the conspiracy of a shadowy killer who leaves no trace. With only circumstantial evidence against each of the suspects, they hit a wall, until twenty-six-year-old photographs linking them to the murdered skinhead emerge. It seems the victim’s depraved past is the key to identifying the killer.

Rosalyn has been secretly meeting with a world-renowned scientist from a powerful pharma company. Were they having an affair – or is something much darker going on?

When they arrive at Thorpe Dale village, Lord and Lady Bainbridge invite them to Larkstone Manor, their isolated home. But when a blizzard descends over the Peaks surrounding the house, they are cut off from the outside world.
Archie disappears early on Christmas Eve. Unable to raise help, Blake and his daughter embark on a dangerous journey over freezing, desolate moors to search for him.
The bludgeoned body of Larkstone’s gardener is found in a ghostly pine forest. linked to stories of ghostly black hounds. Could Archie be next?
Still cut off from the outside world, Blake, assisted by Isabel, investigates and uncovers a historical scandal far darker than either of them could imagine.
