Overview: Mysteries run in the family, starting all the way back to my great grandmother. I grew up watching old black and white movies like The Thin Man and Rebecca, and reading classic mysteries by Poe, Doyle, and Christie. Outside of writing mysteries, I love old steamships, 1990s adventure puzzle games, and trusty pets. I live in a coastal New England town with my hideous (yet charming) Chihuahua, Fugly.
Genre: Fiction > Mystery/Thriller

1. Secrets in a Bottle
Abigail Lane is a petite spitfire and proud owner of a Great Dane twice her size. She’s been struggling to make it in Boston when a call beckons her down to the cozy seaside town of Wallace Point. Now’s her chance to meet a grandmother she never knew—if Grandma survives, that is!

Grandma is in a coma after an apparent break-in at her antique store, leaving Abigail to run Whodunit Antiques in her absence. The locals are very protective of Grandma, their de facto town matriarch, making Abigail wonder… just who is this woman?

When Grandma wakes up, a mystery unfolds, starting with a dead body, a broken ship in a bottle, and a historical maritime rivalry. Will Abigail uncover the centuries-old secret that put Grandma in the hospital? And will Abigail learn why her mother kept her away from Grandma for all these years?

2. A Stab in the Dark
The Ripper has returned, and it’s up to Abigail to uncover the killer with the help of her feisty grandmother, their trusty dogs, and an unlikely ally.

Ever since Abigail moved to the cozy seaside town of Wallace Point, intrigue continues to unfold. She already solved one murder, only to have another spring up at a nearby motel, thought to be the work of the infamous Wallace Point Ripper.

To further complicate things, James Wilson, a hot-headed PI, arrives in town. Abigail is convinced that James is up to something. The whole town, however, welcomes Sheriff Wilson’s prodigal son with a warm embrace, leaving it up to Abigail to uncover his secrets herself. Little does she know that the Ripper’s sordid history extends to more than just one man.

3. An Automated Murder
It’s Christmastime in Wallace Point—but that doesn’t mean the town’s getting a vacation from murder!

Mr. Yamamoto’s Toy Shop is famous for its handcrafted wooden automata. Shingo Yamamoto is a modern day genius, crafting whimsical clockwork toys capable of a wide range of movements. But on the day of his toy shop’s grand reopening, things go from wondrous to murderous when one of Shingo’s automata kills a man in a locked room.

Abigail and Grandma just so happen to be at the scene of the crime. They doubt that Shingo would commit such a heinous murder, not when he has a successful small business and a loving family to lose. But who else could have possibly crafted the murderous automaton, and why? Abigail, Grandma, and their trusty dogs will have to pull out all the stops to figure this murder out, and they must solve it in time for Christmas!
