Midnight Chevalier finally has it all. She’s got a great career, the man she loves, and a beautiful child. Life should be perfect, but nothing is ever as simple as it seems. It isn’t long before the cracks start to appear.
The big double wedding had been a magical experience. Joe and Randy had fought hard for their romance and it had been a complete whirlwind. But soon after settling into married life, Randy becomes restless and decides she wants more, regardless the cost.
When ambition and drive collide with jealousy and betrayal, it will be hard to know Where Loyalties Lie.
Means to an End (#8 )
After the attempt on Randy’s life, Joe decides it is time to take drastic action to keep his family safe,choosing to leave FORS, and the States, behind. Christian, still living in Joe and Randy’s house, starts working at Devereaux’s office in the hope to befriend him and find out more about his plans to bring down Midnight.
Things initially seem to be going well for the team with their latest arrests, but when the unspeakable happens Christian risks taking the blame. As the grief starts to unravel the team, can he do the right thing in time to bring everyone safely back together?
Just For Now (#10)
Things in the department seem to be settling down after the drama with Stevie, and Midnight decides to reinstate her, setting her to work with Christian on a cyber crime case. But when Mikelya’s school is threatened, Midnight is thrust into the limelight and false accusations around Stevie’s reinstatement are made against her in a local newspaper.
To make matters worse, news of more health concerns for Joe circulate through the department, only serving to add to everyone’s stress levels.
As Midnight deals with the backlash from the article, Stevie and Christian become closer and both start to question their own romantic situations.
If the team can keep it together Just For Now, they might just make it through unscathed…
