1. The Man Who Murdered God
A beloved local priest brutally murdered in his own church.
A cloistered monk in a peaceful seminary shot at point-blank range.
A Jesuit teacher slain at night in his classroom.
Facing a brutal serial killer with his sights set firmly on the Catholic diocese, Boston homicide detective Lieutenant Joe McGuire—one half of the best homicide team in Boston's history—is in a race against time to find a killer who seemingly leaves no trace.
With the help of the local diocese, McGuire's investigation leads him to the monstrous, decades-old betrayal of an innocent child. But will McGuire be able to find the killer before he strikes again?

2. And Leave Her Lay Dying
Relegated to reviewing unsolved murders as the result of a courtroom outburst, Boston homicide detective Lieutenant Joe McGuire becomes obsessed with solving the murder of a young woman found in the Boston Fens.
Working with his now-quadriplegic ex-partner Ollie Schantz, McGuire follows a lead to ever-dangerous Texas-Mexican border and eventually to the very doorstep of the killer where he learns that everything—and everyone—may not be what it first appears to be.

3. Whisper Death
When a key witness—as well as his new partner—are gunned down in broad daylight, Boston homicide detective Lieutenant Joe McGuire swears he will not rest until he finds the killer. But when his investigation threatens to expose an ongoing government investigation into the decades-old theft of a military weapon, McGuire himself becomes the hunted.
With the help of an anonymous, although not innocent, source, McGuire uncovers the truth behind his witness's murder . . . but not before McGuire himself comes perilously close to the mastermind behind one of the greatest unsolved thefts in military history.

4. Gypsy Sins
Leaving behind the violence of the Boston streets and the politics of the Boston Police Department, homicide detective Joe McGuire is settled in a new life in the Bahamas. When Aunt Cora, his closest living relative, dies McGuire returns home to attend her funeral and settle her estate.
McGuire quickly discovers that closing Cora's affairs is anything but simple. And when suspicions of murder provoke an attempt on his own life, McGuire is forced to dig into his aunt's past, revealing crimes long past and covered up . . . but not forgotten.

5. Solitary Dancer
Now a former homicide detective, Joe McGuire spends his days in a drug-induced haze trying to forget the brutal beating that almost cost him his life. Driven by his addiction, McGuire associates with the kind of criminals he once brought to justice.
But when his ex-wife's sister is brutally murdered, McGuire finds himself the prime suspect—and unable to refute the evidence that points to him. Driven to prove his innocence, McGuire must fight his addiction, a police department biased against him, and a criminal underworld that threatens to consume him.

6. Haunted Hearts
His drug addiction behind him, former Boston homicide detective Joe McGuire is now a private investigator for a prominent law firm, filling his days with open-and-shut cases and his nights with an office romance.
But when one of the firm's senior partners is found murdered, McGuire's gut tells him that the killing is linked to a missing person McGuire recently tracked down. His instincts as keen as ever, McGuire quickly uncovers a web of deceit with an unscrupulous con-man at the centre.
