For Jane Butterworth the paranormal is just a day job. She works at the Blue Moon Investigation Agency, a firm that specialises in cases that no one else will take, cases that start at strange and unexplainable and tier rapidly south from there.
Her boss is away dealing with a Yeti in France, but the enquiries keep coming so when Chief Inspector Quinn of the local police wants to hire the firm as special consultants, Jane signs them up and takes it on herself.
But a swamp monster? Really?
Bodies of dead cops have been showing up in nearby Biddenden Lake, the site of an unexplained death three years ago. Is there a link between that death and these? The whole area is steeped in ancient history, ghost stories are two-a-penny here but is she really cut out to be a detective?
Time to put her big girl pants on.

To protect himself, Lord Hale has invited paranormal investigation experts Tempest Michaels and Amanda Harper plus their friends and a whole host of other guests from different fields of supernatural exploration for a birthday dinner at his mansion.
As they sit down for dinner, the lights start to dim and a moaning noise disturbs the polite conversation. Has Lord Hale placed his faith in the right people, or just led them to share his doom?
Finding themselves trapped, Tempest and Amanda, with friends Big Ben and Patience must join forces with a wizard, some scientists, and occult experts, ghost chasers, witches, and other assorted idiots as they fight to make it through the night in one piece.
Could this be their final adventure? Will Tempest finally be proven wrong about the paranormal?

When two bikers are found half-eaten, the coroner’s report records an animal attack. But England doesn’t have any large predators …

Tempest Michaels, paranormal detective, gets hired by the dead bikers’ gang to find out what happened and point the finger at a new rival motorcycle club in the next town. Calling themselves the Herne Bay Howlers, they proudly display a werewolf on their jackets and they are far from your average Hell’s Angels.
But Tempest doesn’t believe in the paranormal, and werewolves are right up there on his list of fake nonsense he wants to kick in the nuts. He goes in fully charged and ready, with former army mate and force of nature, Big Ben, at his side. However, this mystery is nothing like the simple case he expected and when Amanda Harper, his business partner/girlfriend, demands he drop it, he’ll have to put everything on the line to find the truth.
Is he right? Are they just idiots in good costumes, or is he about to bite off something that will chew him? The stakes are always high, but when the chips come down, do the guys have what it takes to see this one through?

Hired by the author’s wife, who fears she may be next, Amanda and Tempest head to London for a case that will challenge the premise on which their business is built: that the supernatural does not exist.
