5. Inside the Executive's Pocket - History books say Landover’s Dead Forest got its name because almost nothing grows there.
Locals know the truth.
Most people in Landover have heard the legend of the Dead Forest. It’s why no one wants much to do with the stretch of trees that separates Landover County from the rest of civilization.
People who go into the Dead Forest generally do not come out. Not the same, they don’t.
And rumor has it, paranormal massacres have happened there, twice. Once in the 1800s to a group of ranchers and again in 1978 to a group of young executives just outside the drive-in, the reason the drive-in closed. Just like with the ranchers, the executives’ mutilated bodies were found along the perimeter of the Dead Forest, with one person making it out alive to tell the tale.
It’s the exact spot where Shelby’s missing fiancé’s wallet was found. It’s also where old George passed out. And now, it’s the spot where Carly picks up her newest client, one of the victims of the drive-in incident.
Through channeling, Carly is taken straight to the night in 1978 to relive the story behind the Dead Forest incident and figure out the mystery. But while channeling memories from the 1970s, Carly gets more than just a dose of Disco Fever. She finds clues to Bobby’s missing-person’s case. And it changes everything.

6. Within the Basement Walls - Not all murders are created equal.
Carly's ex-husband, Jackson, has nicknamed her newest case “murder-lite” because the client is a distant relative of his, and everyone in his family knows who the killer was. In 1900, Jackson’s great Uncle Wesley “fell” down the basement stairs while visiting Gate House. They all knew Wesley’s wife did it, and no one blamed her, really. So, they all swept it under the rug like a proper family does.
While channeling with the ghost of Jackson’s uncle to relive his murder and find out what really happened, Carly soon realizes it’s anything but murder-lite. And what she discovers sends her on a puzzling maze through Gate House with secrets, rumors, and an unexpected channeling

7. Beyond the Puppet Master's Reach- When it comes to murder in Landover, there are always strings attached.
Virginia Burke is well known in Landover for two things: being the town’s first female puppeteer, and its first serial killer.
According to history, in 1944, Virginia made puppets in the likenesses of each of her victims, who were all people she hated or had done her wrong. First, she killed them in her puppet shows, then in real life. And when the police caught on to her, she took her final victim: herself.
Virginia’s ghost says none of that is true, and she’d like Carly’s help to set things straight.
Through channeling, Carly merges energy with the spirit to relive her last days in 1944 and watch the puppet master at work. Virginia does seem to be playing a large game of manipulation, until she realizes too late she’s the one being played.
But while trying to show the truth, Carly also gets a quick lesson herself that the past is a show no one wants you to rewrite, and when you try, you get to find out who’s really holding the strings.

8. On the Cutting Room Floor - In Landover, life can be a horror movie, literally.
In 1987, a film crew came to Landover Lake to make a horror movie, and many locals got bit parts. It was a lot of fun until something went wrong, and one of the starlets ended up dead.
It’s a case that still haunts Sheriff Caleb Bowman to this day, and he’s finally willing to see if Carly can conjure up the spirit and help him solve it.
Carly is not too enthusiastic about helping her ex’s cousin out. The man still thinks he should have inherited Gate House and he’s never been nice about it.
But he does hold one of the key pieces to the curse, a scrapbook from Gate House that Carly is dying to see… but not literally.
While channeling with the ghost to 1987, and digging deeper into her case, Carly realizes the closer she comes to solving this murder, the closer she’s coming to the cutting room floor herself.
This case is far from cold. Can she figure out who the killer is before she gets a starring role herself in this horror movie?

9. Around the Ring of Thieves - Sometimes in Landover, the puzzles fight to stay unsolved.
In 1962, the Landover History Museum was quietly robbed in the dead of night. Thieves made off with precious jewels worth millions of dollars including ones loaned to the museum by one of Landover’s richest residents.
As police began tracking down leads, they discovered the body of Wyatt Mills in an abandoned building they believed the missing jewels were hidden in.
The young man had a stolen engagement ring from the museum heist in his pocket, but no other jewels were found in the building. And the case was never solved.
Now, Wyatt’s family has come to Carly for help solving his murder and uncovering the story. They say they want to clear his name, but Carly knows they’d really like her to use her mediumship abilities to find out information about where the stolen jewels are.
There’s a reward for their return, and many in Landover believe they’re hidden somewhere in town and that a puzzle was left behind about their whereabouts, involving the room Wyatt was found in.
But when Carly meets Wyatt’s ghost, she knows there’s much more to the puzzle than that.
And it involves Landover’s curse, the scrapbooks, and the ring itself.
Can Carly figure out where she fits into this puzzle and solve Wyatt’s murder, even as the pieces start falling apart around her?

10. Before the Wedding Bells Ring - Some fairytales end in murder…
In 1919, rich, aspiring architect Estelle Tipton was given a parcel of land by her parents for her first project, along with a contractor to work with, Floyd Fernsby.
He was poor. She was rich. They weren’t supposed to fall in love, but they did, and they seemed to have it all including the house of their dreams designed by her.
But not all fairytales end in happily ever after, and on their wedding day, Estelle ran away and ended up murdered. The whole town thought Floyd had done it. They said he was only marrying her for her money, and when she ran away, he killed her.
Now, more than a hundred years later, Estelle’s ghost has come to medium detective Carly Taylor to find out what happened.
In order to solve her case, Carly channels with Estelle’s ghost to relive every 1919 moment surrounding her murder, only to uncover the kind of secrets many people in Landover would still prefer to keep buried.
Can Carly figure out Estelle's murder and why the bells on the old church ring for no reason, even as the town turns on her for trying?

12. When the Clock Strikes Backwards - Time is running out in Landover…
There wasn’t a storm in sight when three lighthouse keepers disappeared on August 9, 1930. The only clues left behind were an overturned chair, their half-eaten dinner, and three mangy blackbirds.
Now, almost a hundred years later, the great grandson of one of those lighthouse keepers has come to medium detective Carly Taylor with a problem. The clock he inherited from that very lighthouse only ticks backwards instead of reaching midnight.
He’s been told the clock is haunted. But he’s also someone who doesn’t think he should have to pay Carly and her boss for a “clock exorcism done by a couple of fruitcakes.”
There’s only one problem. Carly knows she has to take this case, paid or not.
Because the more she channels with the lighthouse keeper’s ghost, and the closer she gets to figuring out what happened that night, the more she knows for certain, this case involves the curse on Landover, and time is definitely running out for all of them. Tick tock.
