#1 The Dead Priest of Sedona: A quiet autumn day is interrupted when MIKE DAMSON, newly hired manager of the Sedona, Arizona office of the Coconino County Sheriff’s Department, receives a phone call notifying him of a body discovered by a hiker in the wilderness north of town. The caller, Kevin Riker, reports that a man has been killed up on the plateau above the West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon. Kevin leads the two lawmen on the trail through the West Fork Canyon. The trail is busy with hikers enjoying the autumn colors that are at their peak on November first. After several miles of hiking, a wade through the cold creek water, and a steep climb to the canyon rim, the group rests. Kevin explains that he had lost the normal trail when he found a strange circular grove of ponderosa pines where he discovered the gruesome body.

#2 The Dead Chef of Santa Fe: While on vacation in Santa Fe with his wife, Lt. of Detectives Mike Damson solves a murder that has root in the early history of Santa Fe. While attending a party for the students at a cooking school that his wife is attending, the famous chef who teaches the school is murdered. In the absence of other clues, Mike works to find the motive which turns into a hunt for a seventeenth century treasure.

#3 The Murders at El Tovar:
Coconino County, Arizona Sheriff Detective Mike Damson investigates a series of deaths at the Grand Canyon National Park.

#4 The Victim at Vultee Arch: Detective Mike Damson investigates a murder in a wilderness area north of Sedona, Arizona. His investigation leads to New York and to the collapse of a major Investment Banking Firm.

#5 The Arson at Happy Jack: Sheriff's detective Mike Damson discovers that a murder in a remote part of Coconino County, Arizona is connected to a statewide manhunt for an arsonist.

#6 The Dead Man at Doyle Saddle: Mike Damson investigates the death of a physician in what appears to be a hunting accident high in the mountains near Flagstaff. The investigation leads to a drug syndicate and to personal danger.

#7 The Mauling at Kinnickinick Pueblo: Captain Mike Damson investigates the death of a hiker who has been mauled by a cougar in a remote part of northern Arizona. He finds that the looters of an ancient Native American ruin shot the hiker before the cougar ended his life. His investigation leads to an organized ring of looters with ties to a white supremacist group.

#8 The Body at Midgley Bridge: Captain Mike Damson of the Coconino County, Arizona Sheriff's Department investigates the report of a body discovered below Midgley Bridge near Sedona. The victim is a prominent Flagstaff woman who has been killed with a single long range shot to the back of her head. The investigation leads Mike to a series of similar attacks and into personal danger as well.
