1. Marked Man
To the world of football, Mark Rossetti is a dead man.

Banned ten years ago for a crime he didn’t commit, he struggles to make a living as a private investigator. By contrast, Rossetti’s old club, Hertsmere, is on the brink of the big time. Led by its star player, the magical Mickey Wayne, it’s in the top half of the Premiership and within striking distance of FA Cup glory.

But despite its match success Hertsmere is in a financial crisis and, for chairman David Sinclair, Wayne is the difference between winning – or losing for good. As the FA Cup semi-final draws nearer the pressure to sell his best player reaches fever-pitch. If he can only hang on to Wayne till after the match, the club just may be saved. But then, days before the big event, the unpredictable star vanishes. For Mark Rossetti the world of football beckons again. But this time the rules are different – can he find Mickey Wayne before someone else does?

2. Red Card
Rossetti goes to Moscow taking his twelve-year-old daughter Emma along for the ride. It is a decision he lives to regret.

Newly crowned FA Cup-winners Hertsmere United desperately need an infusion of new blood. A certain Dimitri Murganev, the top scorer in the Russian second division last season, looks very attractive. But once in England the truculent Murganev proves strangely disappointing, especially to ex-Hertsmere player Mark Rossetti who, having witnessed the Russian’s performance on home turf, had been keen to recommend him – and his less-than-bargain asking price – to the club.

Then another Russian star, the Gazza of the East, comes on offer. Perhaps a Russian team mate could put Murganev back on form? So Rossetti goes to Moscow once more. He has barely been there a week when Emma and Murganev’s family vanish into Moscow’s cold, thin air…

3. White Lines
A failed drugs test. A hostile bidding war. A risky game being played.

Ex-footballer turned private investigator Mark Rossetti is back, and he is torn between investigating a dramatic TV rights bidding war, and dealing with English football’s young star Barry Reed, who swears he hasn't cheated despite a shock failed drugs test.

Meanwhile sports mogul Nathan Carr is determined not to lose out again to his former business partner, and as the bidding war escalates into open hostility Mark begins to realise that football isn’t the only risky game being played…
