Overview:In a world that increasingly seems fearful, angry and directionless and in a society which struggles to find effective responses, Deirdre Quiery brings a perspective in her work and in her writing that challenges many of the assumptions and standards that have evolved in the Western world during the four centuries since Newton and the dawn of science. What human beings need more than anything, she argues, is to think more expansively and inclusively and to go beyond traditional, rational thinking and embrace a wisdom which lies beyond thinking. You've got a secret. Someone might expose it. What would you do? All that glitters is not gold… In the seemingly tranquil ex-pat community of Mallorca, a dangerous secret lies buried and a murderer hides in plain sight. When a member of the community fears their dark and deadly secret will be exposed, they plan to murder a fellow ex-pat to keep the truth concealed. Will any of the close-knit community discover the deadly plans and stop the inevitable before they are all put in grave danger?
The Painter

In a desire to impress the people who visit his studio, renowned artist The Painter employs a gardener to create an inspirational landscape which includes a labyrinth, an orange grove, and Moorish-inspired fountains. They develop an intimate relationship and The Painter, whose life and talent had become increasingly dissipated, finds himself slowly recovering his original talent. However, the relationship is tainted by The Painter's jealousy when visitors express more interest in the magical garden than in his art. As the jealously blossoms into deadly rage, The Painter will stop at nothing to pursue his dreams, even if it means murder…
