1.5 Soaps and Séances -It’s Halloween in Cape Flower, and Violet Oleander has never been one to believe in ghosts or ghouls or anything of the sort.
Even still, Violet’s aunt Loretta convinces her to take a haunted trolley tour around town, culminating in a séance at the oldest and “most paranormally active” home in all of Cape Flower—the Hugh Physik Estate.
But when one of the tourists participating in the séance ends up unconscious, Chief Richard Odoom enlists Violet’s help to figure out who … or what … is responsible for the crime.
Violet’s search of the estate for clues reveals ghostly images, secret societies, and haunted passageways that have Violet second-guessing her stand on all things supernatural.
