Locals refer to it as Accident Loop, the part of Landover Lake where "the accident" happened in 1957. Rumor has it, a group of high-school graduates went late-night partying on a boat after the country club's sock hop ended early. They didn't return. Until now.
Gloria Thomas was one of those partiers, but she says her death was no accident. And now, she wants Carly's help in figuring out her murder, and setting the record straight. Through channeling, Carly is taken straight to that night to relive the dance, the after party, the young woman's death, and the obvious cover-up.
But while channeling memories from the 1950s, Carly gets to know the younger versions of her older friends and the shocking way the boating accident was handled. And she learns the hard way that stirring a pot from yesteryear can still leave you pretty burned today.
The Ghosts of Landover Mystery series has haunted houses, seances, channelings, curses, shapeshifters, killer birds, and a ton of mysteries. It also has mild profanity and adult humor.
4 Under the Cheaters Table
Things are changing in Landover. But not for the normal.
There are plenty of signs in Landover County, just none of Shelby's missing fiance or his brothers. And Carly still doesn't know very much about what's going on, until a ghost follows her home one day with a sob story:
During a snowy weekend in 1923, after a private poker game among lifelong friends, Feldman Winehouse was discovered with his throat slit, under his own poker table at his speakeasy. He wants Carly's help to figure out which one of his best friends murdered him.
There's only one problem. He needs to hurry. His energy is changing from a ghost into what most people commonly refer to as a demon, so he doesn't have much time.
Carly wants nothing to do with him, or so she tells everyone. She's seen The Exorcist. Channeling with a demon is not a good idea.
But when the entity proves he knows about the signs and why Potter Grove itself is changing, it might be more than the strong medium can resist.
