The Trial Lawyer (Thaddeus Murfee Legal Thriller #8]

A longtime friend has been arrested for driving drunk and causing a death. The friend also happens to be the District Attorney. Thaddeus arrives downstate in Orbit for the defense of this courtroom drama. The DA faces a special prosecutor who is intent on putting him in prison. A legal thriller begins unfolding unlike any other Thaddeus has faced. Thaddeus listens to his old friend and hears about his drinking. He learns that the DA's wife is on the prowl with strange men, and the DA is dangerously close to murder. This lawyer novel follows the wife and her special lover as they edge up to a dangerous cliff. The wife's sleeping around comes to a sudden stop. Watch up-close as the police and a special prosecutor wage all-out war against one of their own. Then Thaddeus needs help. His health is savagely jeopardized, so his office puts in a call to Christine Susmann. His old paralegal drops what she is doing and hurries to his side. Together again, Thaddeus and Christine try to restore Thaddeus back to health. The DA's defense suddenly demands 100% from them. A tense courtroom drama emerges and takes over the book, leading to its startling conclusion.

The Near Death Experience (Thaddeus Murfee Legal Thriller #9]

Thaddeus Murfee feels the coming loss and knows dread. But his wife is resilient and keeps finding the strength to spend just one more day with the family she loves.
Then the young lawyer is retained to defend a case unlike any he’s encountered before. The client: a doctor who died and went to heaven and came back to write a book and tell the world about what he learned. It all sounds like something out of a fantasy novel, and yet the man offers compelling evidence in his bestseller. So compelling, one woman has decided to test his theories for herself and ended up in a coma. Her family has sued the doctor. You'll enjoy a front row seat as Thaddeus encounters the science and medicine of the near death experience.
While Thaddeus longs to believe that he might join his wife one day, the cynic in him screams that it’s a scam. But who can really say? Besides, maybe taking such a case to trial will force a a deeper look at both sides. So Thaddeus commits himself to finding out the facts of the matter. Unfortunately the deeper he digs, the more he begins to question everything he’s ever known. And if he’s wrong, he’s not sure he’ll bear the pain of losing his wife a second time.
