But once Miranda begins to search for her, she finds there is much more to Little Feather and her mother than she originally thought. First, the city is an oasis for supernatural creatures, and secondly, her mother was the Paranormal Investigator who kept them all in line.
As a P.I., it was her mother's job to make sure the paranormal creatures stayed out of view from humans and didn't commit any crimes. But now that she's gone that’s changing.
Miranda finds herself caught up in a world she never knew existed. She needs to find her mother before paranormal things get out of hand in Little Feather, and two very attractive men are willing to help her.

As Miranda settles into her new role as a paranormal investigator, her mother, Eve, takes a back seat on their newest case.
Proving she’s capable of filling her mother’s shoes may be troublesome, however, when Miranda senses that what they're dealing with isn't your typical, everyday paranormal, but something altogether different.
People in the area are disappearing at an alarming rate, and Miranda has to act fast. But with her mother acting strangely, things heating up between her and the Alpha male, Jesse, plus her odd pull to Police Chief Jack Winslow, Miranda starts to feel as if she's going in circles. Good thing she has her Corgi dog, Hank, to help.

Jessie, the Alpha of a werewolf pack living in the small town of Little Feather, Oklahoma, has recruited a doctor to set up his medical practice in the town. Like Jesse, the doctor is also a werewolf.
In his everyday normal life as a perceived human, Jessie is a general contractor and has agreed to build a new medical building for the doctor. But when the building is under construction, it’s vandalized. Miranda and the chief of police are committed to finding out who did it and why.
Life would be a lot easier if the lines between paranormal and human weren’t quite so fuzzy. Miranda’s a human Paranormal Investigator, however the residents of the town, and the chief of police, think she’s a Private Investigator. But when she starts to investigate the case, she learns things that make her wonder if she really is human.
Surely a human wouldn’t be experiencing what she is. Could she be a throwback to something that was thought to be extinct? Is that why she can see and smell things that humans can’t?
6. The Deepest Dark - Men going missing.
Talk of spiderwebs,
A beautiful temptress,
And a Jorogumo.
Seriously?
They’re rarely seen outside of Japan.
Surely there couldn’t be one in Little Feather, could there?
When men go missing, and the only clue is a purported spiderweb, Miranda has no choice but to consider that it’s the work of a Jorogumo, a huge, terrifying spider.
Life isn’t all that easy when you’re a Paranormal Private Investigator involved with a Police Chief who’s convinced the paranormal world doesn’t exist. When he sees it up close and first hand, Jack knows that Miranda hasn’t been entirely truthful about her profession. Not that great for a relationship in its early stages.
At times like this, Miranda’s glad she has Hank, a loveable little Corgi, to snuggle with!
9. The Vengeful Witch - Little Feather is becoming much more popular in the paranormal world.
Known for allowing paranormal beings to live in peace, the small town calls those who are different to its city limits. Most mean well, and some do not.
Miranda isn’t sure how things are between her and Jack. When he left Little Feather he was angry and unsure if he wanted to remain with the knowledge of the paranormal world or if he wanted his memory erased. When he returned, though, he was a changed man. Miranda is unsure how to act around him now and if things between them may have changed.
But when someone starts casting magic spells that cause residents to get sick, Miranda starts looking for the source. Thankfully, the only victims are paranormal and able to be treated magically. Until one unwitty human resident falls ill himself. Was he the target or just an innocent bystander? Miranda doesn’t have much time to find the witch who is vengeful enough to curse others with sickness before death comes lurking in Little Feather. Can she save them or will someone have to suffer the ultimate price?
With the help of her friends, Miranda will do all she can to help while her mother, Eve, finds herself being hunted by the creature she’s driven all over the country to find.
