Junkin' Jewelry Mystery Series (1-2) by Angela McRae
Requirements: .ePUB, .MOBI/.AZW reader, 2.6MB | Retail
Overview: One of the first words Angela McRae learned to read was "antiques," so it's no surprise that she's had a lifelong love for old stuff, including the vintage costume jewelry and cast-off teacups that feature prominently in her novels. When she's not testing vintage recipes for one of her cookbook projects, you can find her prowling thrift stores and antique malls for a new treasure.
Genre: Fiction > Mystery/Thriller

#1 - Emeralds and Envy
Emma Madison loves junkin' for old baubles to turn into dazzling new creations, and launching her new career as a jewelry designer in the small town of Roseland, Georgia, is a dream come true. After making out like a bandit at a garage sale one morning, Emma goes to the Silver Squirrel antiques shop to share her fabulous finds with a fellow jewelry lover. She's shocked to learn that a salesclerk friend, Tina, has just been found murdered.
When the police can't get any firm leads, Emma decides to use her newspaper reporting experience to assist them. According to the local gossip mill, not everyone in town liked Tina, including her two siblings. Soon, the list of suspects is longer than a strand of opera pearls.
Someone is trying to stop Emma from helping, even going so far as to threaten her new business. While eager to get back to making jewelry, Emma is determined to find the person responsible for Tina's death, even if that means coming face-to-face with the killer.
#2 - Rubies and Revenge
The fall holidays are fast approaching in Roseland, Georgia, and despite a November heat wave, jewelry designer Emma Madison can't wait to set up shop at her town's annual Christmas bazaar, where she's hoping to dazzle the crowds and see brisk sales of her cheerful charms and riveting rhinestones.
But someone has other plans for the beloved holiday extravaganza, and the bazaar's controversial organizer, the leader of the Happy Hometown program, turns up dead. As the newest Happy Hometown board member, Emma gets drawn into the investigation of their departed leader, a woman who ruffled lots of feathers and made few friends during her short stint in town.
Someone on the naughty list appears to have it out for the program and its board members, and if Emma doesn't watch her back, their red-hot revenge will take the happy out of her holidays and turn her Thanksgiving into a silent night.
