1. The Art of Danger - A stolen painting becomes a potential weapon of mass destruction.
A gangster is so desperate to own a portrait of an unknown person by a forgotten artist that he kills three men. In this fast-moving crime thriller ex-cop John Kite follows the trail of blood to a gallery full of looted Middle Eastern archaeology then discovers that a renegade spy is planning revolution.
Art detective John Kite’s a tough, sexy guy who runs elite Marathon times and is a former firearms specialist. He "looks like a young Bryan Ferry" and his perky sense of humour brings sparkling dialogue. His dead parents are a no-go area and his hidden past makes him a marked man. Can he stop the impending cataclysm before he falls victim to the killer himself?

2. Paint It Blackmail - A politician’s lie leads to the biggest art heist in history.
Ex-cop and art specialist John Kite is ordered to discover the truth, but in the corridors of power he can find no one to trust. Even the police are against him. Then he comes face to face with a killer from his troubled past and makes a dramatic rescue of a girl on the point of death. But, with a cool and beautiful bureaucrat as his ally, he fights on to uncover a corrupt billionaire chasing ultimate power.
But is it too late? The Prime Minister’s life is under threat. Can Kite save him and his government?

4. Killing Art - “China is killing art,” a woman tells PI John Kite. “You must stop them.” Then she is killed in a hail of bullets. Is the bizarre message connected to the flood of robberies Kite is investigating? Or to the dead auctioneer found floating in the ocean? Or is it evidence of a world-wide conspiracy? Being shot at with a flare gun is just the start of this action-filled adventure for ex-cop John Kite. His quest for answers takes him on a 1500 mile road chase, and a speedboat pursuit across the Mediterranean. A girlfriend tells Kite he is “too dangerous to know”, but his signature sense of humour is undimmed. With a volcano ready to blow its top, can Kite stop the conspiracy before it causes western economies to go into melt-down ?

5. Scam Artists - He knows when the heist is.
He doesn't know where. Or who.
He's got 9 days to find out - and stop a major crime.
PI John Kite is called by a friend in trouble. The friend's on assignment in a lawless country and can't raise his boss to pass on vital information. He tells Kite the heist is scheduled for the 13th of the month and the perps' codename is "Operation Eton". Then the line goes dead and Kite can't reconnect. Unable to contact his friend's boss either, Kite feels duty-bound to take on the case. Then Kite's home is broken into and trashed. Only one minor item was taken, but it gives Kite a shiver down his spine. It's a relic of his dead father - who was a full-time criminal.
Pursuing leads, Kite returns to his father's old house in Florida, where he finds himself being tailed by the FBI. Is Operation Eton another relic of his father?

6. Art Trap - Ex-cop John Kite's car explodes under him. An alluring woman rescues him - or does she? Is she a divine saviour, or a deadly stalker? Nothing is as it appears in this fast-paced action thriller.
Chasing stolen paintings, art detective Kite discovers an oligarch is targeting a cache of hidden - almost perpetual - wealth, hidden deep inside a defenceless country. To stop the Russian empire-building, Kite battles not only expert criminals, and the oligarch's private army, but also the west's own secret services. With the series trademarks of sparky dialogue, quirky characters and a sense of humour, the story has echoes of classic Bond.
Can John Kite save a dirt-poor nation from its own corrupt politicians?

7. Shooting Gallery - Art detective John Kite wants revenge! The normally mild-mannered ex-cop made serious sacrifices to recover a stolen picture. Now he’s shocked to find all his efforts were in vain. Deceived by a long-running fraud, he wants to get even. And nail the guilty.
But Kite’s search for the truth uncovers a secret so dangerous, so well guarded, that those who learn it are killed. There’s murder in Massachusetts, and a lethal blast in London. As Kite becomes a wanted man, can he persuade those in power he is right, before he is taken out himself?

8. Brushes With Death - John Kite is lured into helping a criminal friend of his father – and what he discovers changes his life. Colleagues beg Kite to keep clear, but he can’t resist the criminal’s promise that he will learn new and startling facts from him. But how much of what he tells Kite is actually true? And why is he so deeply involved with a highly dangerous new technology? It’s not just stolen pictures which Kite is chasing, but also a mysterious redheaded woman, who appears to be enticing him to his death. What does she want, and is she part of the international conspiracy which Kite uncovers? A conspiracy which aims to turn industrial espionage into industrial destruction. Can Kite stop their desperate strategy before it is too late, and what shocking secrets does he finally learn?
