Witch Reborn Series by Belinda White (1-2, 4-5, 8 )
Requirements: epub/azw3/mobi reader, 1.5 mb
Overview: Currently I live in a very small town in Central Indiana. Being the animal lover that I am, right now I share my small and humble abode with a German Shepherd / Border Collie mix, a Corgi, and a couple of beautiful cats. (One black, one calico.)
Genre: Mystery/Thriller

1. Witch of a Godmother - The most powerful witches live more than one lifetime.
I've come to realize that now. The natural order of things is for a mother to raise her children. Not the other way around.
My new housemate Kimberly doesn't know yet what (or who) her newborn daughter is, but I do. I was there when she was born and shared a short soul-gaze with my own mother. Someday, I'll have to break the news to Kimberly, but not today.
Or this week, it looks like. Not with all the shenanigans going on in Wind's Crossing.
Who would have thought buying a simple desk at an estate auction would lead to so much trouble for my little shop? The break-ins ticked me off, but I could live with them. I had my own way of handling things like that.
But when the last break-in yielded a dead body? Well, a witch has to draw the line somewhere.
Besides, I'm a Ravenswind Witch and head priestess of the Gemstone Coven. We don't rest until justice is served. One way or another.
2. Witch of a Sister - Sometimes the Witches' Council gets it flat out wrong.
It's not like I didn't have enough on my plate as it was. What with Orville's ultimatum hovering over my head and helping to raise a baby with a very old (not to mention very powerful) soul, I did.
A full plate, indeed.
But then someone got it in their mind to frame a family member for murder. Yeah, like I wasn't going to get involved in that one.
As complicated as that sounds already, it got even more complex and worrisome when the Witches' Council stepped into the fray.
Sometimes they arrest the wrong dang witch.
Come to find out, proving a person's innocence to a mortal court of law isn't all that hard. The Witches' Council is another story altogether.
4. Witch of an Ex - Sometimes the past repeats itself. And sometimes, it packs a bigger punch the second time around.
I didn't think much of it when Trevor called Orville in to help with a murder investigation. After all, Trevor hadn't been in the position of acting sheriff all that long. Murder was something new to him. At least, it was new to him in the position of sheriff. It was a far different thing than just being a deputy on a case.
The fun (and yes, I use that word very sarcastically) started when we learned just who it was Trevor had in his jail for the crime. None other than my ex.
Yup. Ruby's dad. You know? The one she doesn't know a thing about? Yeah, that one.
To make matters worse, the man was asking for our help to clear his name. For the record, that had to take some major kind of desperation. We hadn't exactly ended our relationship on friendly terms.
I'd had much grander hopes for our first case together as a private-investigating couple. But what could we do? The only way to get rid of the man was to clear his name and then send him packing back to whatever hole he'd come out of.
Unfortunately, that single murder was only the beginning. And it looked like the killer just might have Orville in his sights next.
Like I'm gonna let that happen.
5. Witch of a Honeymoon - You need a vacation, they said. It'll be fun, they said. Turns out, it was murder. Or very close to it.
I allowed myself to be talked into taking an actual vacation. Not just any vacation, either. A honeymoon. And since my sister Sapphire and I had shared a wedding, we decided it would only be fair to share the honeymoon part of things too.
Meaning just the trip, of course. We'd be keeping our men to ourselves, thank you very much.
Still, seeing the Northern Lights had been on my bucket list for years, so I caved. Next thing I knew, the four of us were boarding a ship heading for Alaska.
It sounded like a great idea at the time. Lots of rest and relaxation, and yes, some added cuddle time too. It was a honeymoon, after all.
Unfortunately, the trip didn't exactly go as we had planned.
Trust Sapphire to book the same cruise as a killer and their target. And trust me to get between them.
My very first vacation just might end up being my last.
8. Witch of a Friend - Who knew buying a house could turn so deadly?
When the Gold sisters told me they were buying an estate close to the farmhouse, I was happy for them. At least, I was until I got a gander at the place in question.
The old Henderson mansion. To say the place needed a little tender loving care would be wrong. It needed a wrecking ball and a bulldozer.
But the Golds loved it and were determined to turn the hulking beast of a place into a bed and breakfast, of all things.
Who could have guessed that falling ceilings, soggy floors, and peeling paint would be the least of their worries?
