Overview: For the last collection of the Winter’s Crimes anthology that I expect to edit personally a few more words of introduction are needed than were called for in the earlier ones.
This time I decided—perhaps something of a sentimental gesture—to invite only friends who have regularly been published by Macmillan to contribute. So this volume is in the nature of an ‘imprint muster’ and the imposing high standard achieved here is one more witness to the imagination and craftsmanship of gifted friends.
