Overview: ain Cameron was born in Glasgow and moved south to Brighton in the early eighties. He has worked in the computer industry, telecommunications and financial services, first as an accountant and latterly as a management consultant. He now lives in a village outside Horsham in West Sussex, with his wife, 2 children and a lively Collie dog.
One Last Lesson was the first novel to feature the laconic and at times rash Scottish detective, DI Angus Henderson of Sussex Police who roams the dark streets of Brighton and barns and outhouses of rural Sussex, poking his nose where it's not wanted.
His second book, Driving into Darkness, also features DI Henderson but there is no need to read the books in order.

1. One Last Lesson (2014)
University has just become a dangerous place… The body of a young woman is found on a Sussex golf course.
She is a student at a local university.
She was a model on a pornographic web site, owned by two of her lecturers.
Jon Lehman is the victim’s Business Studies lecturer.
He is fond of booze and bedding female students.
DI Angus Henderson brings him in for questioning - with tragic consequences for him.
Dominic Green is a local gangster.
He is a fellow investor in the porn web site.
He moves to protect his investment - with painful consequences for his enemies.
DI Henderson believes the web site is key to unlocking this case.
He digs deeper and deeper until…he is confronted by two vicious animals - but only one of them is human.
2. Driving into Darkness (2014)
CAR THIEVES ARE TERRORISING SUSSEX...
Vicious car-thieves are smashing their way into rural properties and stealing expensive cars. Their violence is escalating and detectives at Sussex Police are fearful they will eventually kill someone.
Their fears are realised when Sir Mathew Markham, owner of one of the UK’s most profitable high-tech companies, is killed. It is assumed his murder was the work of the gang but DI Angus Henderson is not so sure, as he believes there are significant differences between the way this attack was carried out and their activities in the past – why can no one else see it?
He tenaciously pursues his own theory, bringing him face to face with two killers…one who will stop at nothing to avoid going back to jail, and the other equally determined to wreak his own brand of vengeance.
3. Fear the Silence (2015)
FAME WON'T PROTECT YOU....
A missing woman is not what DI Henderson needs right now, just when he's on the verge of nabbing whoever is behind big drug shipments coming into Shoreham Harbour in Sussex. The missing woman is none other than Kelly Langton, once the glamour model 'Kelly,' and now an astute businesswoman with her own clothing, jewellery, and fragrance ranges and not surprising, media interest is off the scale.
Even without the police evidence against him, her husband's robust manner and aggressive attitude have swayed public opinion. He is arrested and questioned but Henderson is not convinced as everyone else seems to be, and even more so when another woman goes missing in what he believes are similar circumstances.
The press are clamouring for a conviction and Henderson has only a few days to put up or shut up, but faces a near impossible task as the man he seeks is neither on his radar or in the database as he lives amongst us in unremarkable obscurity.
4. Hunting for Crows (2016)
Someone is killing former members of a rock band
A man drowns in a swollen river, trying to save his dog.
In the mid-eighties he was the bass player in the Crazy Crows rock band.
When the drummer dies exercising in his home gym, DI Angus Henderson of Surrey and Sussex Police becomes suspicious.
Revisiting the events of the past is a trip down Memory Lane for some, but a rake over the coals of a sordid youth for others. With incidents and dates befuddled and confused by years of boozing and drugs, the DI realises he’s in for the long haul.
Henderson probes deeper and deeper…until he unearths more than he bargained for.
