Overview: I love an adventure and I think it shows in my writing. I recently moved to Salisbury North Carolina from Boca Raton, Florida. I met a man on an American Airlines flight a few years ago and decided I couldn’t live without him. Banyan Tree Country Club located in Boca Raton, Florida is an unlikely setting for a murder but when Marco Escobar is found dead, an arrow buried deep in his chest, Maggie McFarlin and her two lushy friends decide to investigate. Maggie McFarlin is a middle aged retired technical writer from Seattle. Along with her friends Alexandra, a classy seventy-something aircraft contractor and Britney, an attractive twenty-nine-year-old hotel lobby designer, they find happy hour entertainment by investigating their fellow club members as likely suspects. Even when Detective Mike Marker warns the women to stay out of the investigation, they continue their involvement exposing the motives of a colorful cast of suspects that lead the reader through several twists and turns along the way. In this fast paced whodunnit, can you guess who is the real killer is BEHIND THE GATES?
2. Undercover Cruise
Maggie McFarlin joins former Detective Mike Marker in solving the mystery of who scammed his 92-year-old aunt out of her life savings. Mike's sister, Joanie, the Branch Manager, is convinced that the culprit is someone on her team, all of who will be on a company-sponsored cruise. Mike and Maggie agree to go undercover to find out who, but when one of the bank employees goes overboard, Mike and Maggie now have to find a murderer and save his sister from prison.
3. Deception Trail
Maggie McFarlin comes face to face with her past as she investigates the murder of Chase Dawson, who happens to be her brother-in-law and the number one suspect is her sister Liza. Maggie travels across the country to the Pacific Northwest to the small town of Port Orchard, WA, to save her sister, but when Maggie is arrested for Breaking and Entering, Mike Marker makes the trip from North Carolina to help. Maggie is also joined by her two long-time friends, Sue Brookland and Kat Carson, in investigating Chase’s co-workers, a surrogate, and even Bigfoot enthusiasts to find the murderer and clear her sister. In this fun who-dun-it, there are plenty of suspects to choose from along Deception Trail.
