The bones confront him with a cold-case from 1978. Was the murder of a notorious seventies gangster linked to the disappearance of a young Italian man over a gambling debt? Or is there an even darker story to uncover?

When a divorced middle-aged woman is discovered floating in her bath in Stoke-on-Trent, DI Tom Blake is called to investigate her death. It appears to be an open-and-shut case of suicide…until other women who also belong to the Never Too Late to Find Love Facebook dating group begin to turn up dead at historic landmarks in world-famous Snowdonia.
Blake is seconded to North Wales Police to work with DI Robyn Lloyd on the case.
At first, they suspect the nefarious Conway accountant who runs the dating group. But when Welsh Nationalist, warning messages land on DI Lloyd’s desk, the case takes on a deadly new significance. Maybe the killer’s motive isn’t purely murder, and there's a more twisted meaning to his crimes? The detectives soon realise wealthy, divorced or widowed, English women are only part of his evil plan.
The threat level is raised and Robyn's life is in grave danger when connections to a Welsh terrorist group, thought to be dormant, emerge from deep inside the close-knit community.
Does the answer lie in the history of the medieval towns of Conway and Caernarfon, or on the ancient mystical Isle of Anglesey? And will the detectives’ trail across the Menai Strait and treacherous Irish Sea uncover this depraved killer before he takes another woman's life?
