Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 4.3MB | Retail
Overview: John Creasey (September 17, 1908 - June 9, 1973) was born in Southfields, Surrey, England and died in New Hall, Bodenham, Salisbury Wiltshire, England. He was the seventh of nine children in a working class home. He became an English author of crime thrillers, published in excess of 600 books under 20+ different pseudonyms. He invented many famous characters who would appear in a whole series of novels. Probably the most famous of these is Gideon of Scotland Yard, the basis for the television program Gideon's Way but others include Department Z, Dr. Palfrey, The Toff, Inspector Roger West, and The Baron (which was also made into a television series). In 1962, Creasey won an Edgar Award for Best Novel, from the Mystery Writers of America, for Gideon's Fire, written under the pen name J. J. Marric. And in 1969 he was given the MWA's highest honor, the Grand Master Award.

#8 - Sport For Inspector West (aka Inspector West Kicks Off)
Guy Randall suffered a sudden and violent death. Roger West of Scotland Yard is tasked with solving the case, but is perplexed as all leads seem to go back to a series of thefts from a chain of shops and at the same time, nearly everyone involved seems to belong to the same Football Club. It is a very unusual and complex case which has an equally surprising conclusion as West quite literally attempts to identify the criminals behind the killing in front of thousands of spectators at one of the Club's games.

#17 - The Gelignite Gang (aka Inspector West Makes Haste)
After a series of jewellery robberies in which safes are blown using gelignite, Roger West, of Scotland Yard, has to find the perpetrator. Then there is a killing at Jefferson's, London's largest department store. The victim had been living with his daughter and son-in-law, Billy. Billy's grief appears tinged with something akin to fear, and there are some unexplained bruises around his jaw, not to mention something not quite right about the restaurant where he works. Gerald Starkey, the Chairman of Jefferson's is far from helpful and so West decides to delve into his and his family's background. Then violence erupts again and West must uncover the secrets that everyone appears to be hiding.

#22 - The Doorway to Death (aka Find Inspector West & The Trouble at Saxby’s)
Roger West of Scotland Yard has a boss who simply does not like his methods. He must therefore attempt to be more conventional when faced with a case involving an attractive girl who is brutally killed. She had a bad reputation, but that just makes the task all the harder. The chief suspect proves to be innocent and the plot deepens as blackmail and forgery enter the fray. West therefore has to act and quickly, but now doing things his way. He is cold and calculating, but gets results.
