Overview: I'm a semi-retired tax and patent attorney writing under a nom de plume. I enjoy reading legal thrillers, but found the lack of sound legal practices and entertaining writing discouraging. Most cases never go to trial and the steps to reaching a settlement are often too boring for a fictional novel. I'll try to keep the legal steps in my novels as close to "real" as is possible while also making the stories fun and pulpy.

Archer Landon is a young attorney who just set up shop in Texas, and he’s looking to make a name for himself. But his idealism will be put to the test when he realizes that big money Texas politics are serious. Deadly serious. In order to get justice for his clients, Landon is going to have to dive head first into a pit of vipers and hope he can come out unscathed.

When the sheriff raided the wrong residence and kept the property of the innocent citizen via civil asset forfeiture, Archer Landon and his fledgling firm are brought on to help recover the family heirloom. But the corrupt sheriff isn’t going to make things easy and Archer won’t back down, so a confrontation is inevitable, both in and out of the courtroom. Can Archer expose the corruption, or will the Texas good old boy system put him six feet under?
