The artistic world descends on Misty Valley for the grand unveiling of Io's new painting, and a master art thief stages the art heist of the century. Not just any thief, one that the deadly duo is set to spring a trap on. Their quarry paints their own plot twist and strikes on Elain's home turf!
In a surreal twist, a famous restauranteur invades Misty Valley, seeking to sculpt a relationship with Storm Development. Little does he realise that he's competing with Storm's own daughter for the coveted spots in the new resorts. To add insult to injury, his recipe to win sets all of April's family against him.
Another errant brushstroke is the return of someone April hoped to never see again.
Can Elain catch her quarry before all of Misty Valley boils over? Will April's nemesis doom Mystic Brews? Can they unveil the thief before someone is framed for murder?
8. Frappes and Flying Machines - Fantastic Pilots! Vintage Aircraft! and Sabotage?
The fae air acrobatics comes to Misty Valley, bringing vintage bi-planes and their pilots for several days of aerial acrobatics. But rivalries, and emotions run on high octane.
Ebrel and Nia premier the new Mystic Brews coffee trailer at the air show. Nia's love life hits a snag when she catches the eye of two pilots. Nia's not the only thing between those flyboys. Animosity runs deep. But is it deep enough to attempt to kill?
Add a break-in along, with a pilot who trusts Punkin to help him get his plane ready, both of which leave Ebrel and Elain in a tailspin of confusion. What kind of foul play is in the air?
Will Nia survive the attentions of two suitors? Can the pilots survive the rash of magical mischief? Will Punkin finally get a chance to soar with the birds?
And why did Punkin order that box of stuffed Chihuahuas?
9. The Marocchino Sparrow - Murder and deception flock to Misty Valley. Can Ebrel and Punkin crack the case?
The rarest of rare, the Marocchino Sparrow has been the object of desire for many. The quest for it has always ended in death.
When a clutch of birders descend on Misty Valley in hopes of spying rare species, one bird in particular is drawing all of the attention. Compounded by murder, and by a ghost who is obsessed with the quest, the Mystic Brews gang find themselves a flutter with too much mystery, and a lack of evidence.
Add in Punkin's new quest to be a wise-quacking private eye and the mystery gets hard-boiled. Ebrel has her hands full, keeping him out of hot water, while trying to quack the case.
With new friends in the flock, Ebrel discovers they're in a race against the feathered clock to find the killer and recover the treasure before a nefarious plot is hatched. Worst of all, the feather points right at one of Ebrel's newest friends!
10. A Royal Brew - A Royal Invitation. A dead dwarf. Punkin at the Fae Royal Palace?
The Queen of the Fae is ready to officially name her daughter heir to the crown. It’s an event Ebrel can’t miss. Especially as it’s a chance to finally meet her aunt, the fae queen. But, with a liability like Punkin along, can Ebrel risk another unfortunate incident involving the fuzzbutt, his addiction to coffee beans, and the queen’s fancy dress?
That becomes the least of Ebrel and Elain’s worries when they find the queen’s minister of faerocks inspecting the gravel below the ministry’s balcony up close. Very much too close. And, a special visitor from St. Maurice, California is a very likely suspect in the minister’s unexpected plunge.
In addition to investigating the murder, Ebrel has to dodge a pesky Minister who insists on giving her etiquette lessons, while Punkin is sidelined in a way only Punkin could manage.
But, there’s a deeper mystery brewing than any of them suspect. Add in a handsome mysterious stranger that attracts Ebrel’s eye, and her world is definitely a royal mess.
Can Ebrel and the gang stop the plot from boiling over before another of the queen’s ministers perishes?
