Overview: I was born and raised in the coastal tourist town of Blackpool in the NW of England and still return there regularly. I have created a fictional coastal town as the setting for three crime novels, "Breaking Waves", "Shifting Sands" and "Rising Tides". These are my "Phil Tyler Thrillers".

When Winston encounters a disorientated, naked man on a country lane at midnight, the tale he has to tell stirs the interest of journalist, Phil Tyler. Their enquiries draw him, his friends and his colleagues deeper into a dangerous and disturbing world where nothing is quite what it seems.
3. Rising Tides: The Lucky Seven nightclub has a bad reputation. For decades, the centre of Sefton’s underworld, it is cleaning up its act, ready to be the heart of a town centre development. Local journalist, Phil Tyler, is drawn to investigate and soon finds himself in a world of conspiracy, corruption and crime where life means nothing.
4. Shining Lights: An enigmatic message from an old school friend takes Phil to Blackpool where he must walk the night-time promenade, night after night, and await a meeting and an explanation. During the dark nights of covid lockdown, however, danger lurks round every corner and, step by step, Phil is drawn into a terrifying nightmare world of conspiracy and crime where he can trust nobody, not even his one-time friend. And on that trust, and the choices he makes, many lives will depend.
