#1 - Corpse at the Candy Shop
All Hailey Hart wants is a fresh start in a new town where no one knows she doesn't have a clue what to do with her life or a dollar to her name. What she gets is a dead body on her first day of work at the candy shop.
Now, everyone wants to talk to Hailey and find out if she killed the biggest player in Rockland. Who knew working with a temp agency could be so traumatic? The only good part is her new boss happens to be both attractive and interested in clearing Hailey of murder.
Can she find the real killer and earn a paycheck before her rent is due?
#2 - Tragedy at the Toy Shop
The last thing Hailey Hart expected on her first day working at the toy shop was to find a dead body inside a giant stuffed bear. What are the odds that her second job placement through the temp agency would wind up putting her in the middle of another murder investigation?
The suspects are piling up in this case. At least this time, Hailey isn't on the top of Detective Bilson's list. But can she ignore her fascination with true crimes and not dig into this investigation?Not likely. Especially since the previous murder she helped solve earned her some fame as the town's amateur sleuth. But looking into a murder is dangerous, and if Hailey doesn't want to become the next victim, she's going to have to watch her back.
#4 - Poisoning at the Pizzeria
Waitressing is one of the last jobs Hailey Hart wants, but when her temp agency places her at the local pizzeria, having to serve food and not being able to wash the smell of garlic out of her hair is the least of Hailey's worries. Her new boss winds up dead, supposedly from food poisoning.
But the cook is adamant that there was nothing wrong with the food, and Hailey is inclined to believe him. Not many people liked Dante Peretti, including his ex-wife, current wife, or his employees. Hailey suspects this wasn't an accident. It was murder.
The question is who poisoned Peretti's pizza? And is he the only victim on the killer's list?
#5 - Murder at the Movie Theater
When Hailey Hart lands a job temping at the movie theater, she thinks it's going to be great. She even gets free access to all the new movie releases. But she never expects to find local deadbeat, Corey Vincent, dead in the back of the theater after a showing.
Corey caused trouble everywhere he went and owed a lot of people money. So when Detective Bilson asks Hailey for her help solving the murder, she doesn't know where to begin as far as suspects go.
Did anyone in town actually like Corey? And how much danger is Hailey putting herself in when she goes looking for Corey's bookie and drug dealer?

What could be sweeter than working at a donut shop? Hailey Hart is convinced her newest job placement will work out—at least for a little while. But the dead body discovered in the donut shop has other plans for her.
Hailey winds up in the midst of yet another murder investigation, this time of a former Rockland police officer. Detective Bilson is determined to catch his former colleague's killer. Especially since the killer went to great lengths to make the death look like a simple heart attack.
But Charlie Hughes was on the hit lists of several ex-cons he put away for various crimes. Will Hailey be able to figure out which one of them if any is responsible for the murder?
