Her estranged sister, Samantha, has been arrested for murder.
It looks like Sadie is going to have to take a detour off the 101, and head to her old hometown of Blue River. This is where her sister lives, and this is where Cara Armstrong, failed mayoral candidate and local busybody, lived—and died.
Cara’s body was found on the community garden compost heap. She’d been killed by a pair of cannabis trimming scissors.
And those scissors belong to Samantha.
3. Doublet or Nothing - "It's all 'Hey Nonny Nonny' until the screaming starts..."
Costume shop owner Sadie Simpson has enthusiastically embraced the surge in business brought to her store by a visiting Renaissance Festival. After all, the Ren Faire is a celebration of the peculiar and the eccentric—a sentiment that holds a special place in Sadie's heart.
However, the town is thrown into shock when the Chief of Police, a long-standing thorn in Sadie's side, is struck by an arrow during the archery tournament. Was this truly an accident? And if not, who had Chief Duckett in their sights?
Furthermore, why does it seem that some of Sadie's friends possess information they are hesitant to disclose?
